Position: Events Manager - Scalare Group

The Role:
The Events Manager will lead all events hosted by entities with the Scalare Group mostly within the event venues at Tank Stream Labs locations.
This role focuses on event execution and the delivery of high-quality corporate, networking, and community events across the Scalare group of companies.
The ideal candidate has excellent project management skills,  proven experience in event management, a passion for start ups and exceptional communication skills.

 

Main Duties and Responsibilities:

Event Planning, Design & Delivery

  • Manage the end-to-end coordination of all events, ensuring seamless delivery from concept to completion.
    Provide logistical support for Scalare Group events and activations, including updating space availability and assisting with ad hoc tasks.

  • Develop event briefs, run sheets, and timelines for internal and external events.

  • Oversee event setup, AV, catering, signage, and logistics; act as on-site lead to ensure smooth execution.

  • Conduct post-event evaluations and analyse results to inform future improvements.

  • Source and manage external suppliers and vendors, negotiating contracts and ensuring service quality.

  • Research and develop new event concepts aligned with all The Founders Union and Tank Stream Labs’ brand and community.

 

Client & Relationship Management

  • Meet with event clients to understand event requirements and budgets, ensuring clear communication and expectations.

  • Act as the main point of contact for event planning and on-site delivery, providing updates and guidance.

  • Engage actively with Tank Stream Labs members, event attendees, and partners to strengthen community relationships.

  • Work closely with the sales team to deliver and manage the execution of external hire bookings

Operations & Administration

  • Ensure all event and meeting spaces are operationally ready, well-presented, and maintained to high standards.

  • Maintain accurate CRM and event management records.

  • Track expenses, manage budgets, and ensure all events are delivered within financial targets.

Flagship Event – Startup to Scaleup (S2S) Summit

  • Be involved in the logistical execution of the annual Startup to Scaleup (S2S) Summit.

  • Work closely with the CEO, Head of Marketing, and Head of Strategic Partnerships to deliver a high-impact conference.

  • Manage key elements including venue sourcing, budgeting, speaker coordination, catering, staffing, and operational readiness.

  • Lead logistical execution of pre and post summit ecosystem events (i.e sponsor dinners, micro events).
