Operations & Community Assistant

Intro:

We are currently seeking an enthusiastic, proactive, and service-driven Operations & Community Assistant to join our Melbourne team.

This is a hands-on opportunity to gain real-world experience in operations, customer experience, events, and community management within one of Australia’s leading startup ecosystems.

Working closely with the Centre Manager and broader operations and community team, you’ll gain practical exposure to the day-to-day running of a premium flexible workspace while helping deliver an exceptional member experience.

This role is ideal for a recent graduate or early-career professional looking to build experience in operations, business, customer experience, events, startups, or community management.

You’ll receive hands-on mentoring, practical experience, and exposure to high-growth businesses while developing valuable operational and professional skills.

As a casual position, shifts and hours may vary based on business needs.

Key Responsibilities

Community & Member Experience

• Be a welcoming and approachable presence in the space, helping create a positive member experience.
• Build relationships with members and support day-to-day member needs.
• Assist members with meeting room bookings and navigating internal systems.
• Provide first-level support for general member enquiries.
• Support the team in maintaining a high-quality, personalised member experience.

Operations & Workspace Support

• Support the day-to-day operations of the Melbourne hub.
• Help maintain presentation standards across the workspace.
• Ensure meeting rooms, kitchen areas, and shared spaces are clean, organised, and member-ready.
• Assist with inventory management and ordering supplies.
• Support member onboarding, arrivals, departures, and general workspace coordination.
• Assist with incoming mail, deliveries, and member notifications.
• Support workplace health, safety, and operational processes under guidance from the team.

Events, Marketing & Community

• Support the planning and delivery of member and community events.
• Assist with event logistics, setup, attendance coordination, and promotion.
• Work with the team to support community content and marketing initiatives.

Sales & Member Support

• Support the team with member tours and welcoming prospective clients.
• Assist with onboarding administration and membership setup.
• Help maintain accurate operational and occupancy records.

Work Schedule

Casual position
Approximately 2 shifts per week
Days and hours varying based on operational requirements and business needs
Based onsite at our Melbourne CBD location
